‘Woodbine Willie’ – the Anglican World War I padre who gave cigarettes to the troops and wrote poetry - is well known. But the man himself, G.A. Studdert-Kennedy is not nearly so well known – and, more importantly, his significant contribution to the development of Christian theology has been all but forgotten.
