Providing you with the foundational knowledge of river processes and dynamics is the ultimate aim of this 20 credit module. We will explore the processes that operate in rivers and the controls on river channel forms and dynamics. In doing so, we will need to consider the hydraulics, geomorphology, sedimentology, hydrology and ecology of rivers at scales ranging from millimetres to hundreds of kilometres, from seconds to millennia, and with examples taken from across the planet and beyond!
