Katrien Bernaerts - Adaptive Page Content
From Julian Tenney
We would like to show the project results on adaptive learning and also show how easy it is to create adaptive learning (based on learning analytics) without coding, or very expensive tools, or hiring developers.
Erasmus University Rotterdam, Deltion College and the Future Teacher 3.0 (Erasmus +) project have made it possible to create adaptive learning using the open source tool Xerte Online Toolkits. Together with the new possibilities of LTI, xAPI and dashboards it can help to achieve the goals for personalised and adaptive learning.
Since Xerte-3.8+ you can easily create adaptive learning content, launch the modules via LTI and track progress using xAPI. It allows an organisation to keep their content hosted in the Xerte authoring environment and deploy it in any LMS that supports LTI (e.g. Sakai, Moodle etc). In this way, the modules are also very easy to maintain. By creating online learning modules in Xerte it is also possible to use the modules in any LMS or other online environment.
