Medieval Literature by Professor Thorlac Turville-Petre
From Hayley Cotterill on November 12th, 2013
Professor Thorlac Turville-Petre gives an account of the Rushall Psalter (on display in the Weston Gallery). He discusses its history and contents, and explains its unusual survival in the hands of one family line. From his own research, he explains what we can learn from the surprising range of vernacular literature found in its leaves.
The exhibition was curated by Manuscripts and Special Collections and ran from 20 September 2013 - 5 January 2014.
