The sacrifice of the ‘300’ at Thermopylae has gripped the imagination of writers and artists - and audiences! - for centuries. This session discusses popular representations in historical fiction. Join us to find out how the story inspired Steven Pressfield to write the best-seller ‘Gates of Fire’, ‘a triumph in historical fiction’ (Kirkus Reviews).
